Frequently
Asked Questions:
What
is the typical homebuilding process?
The typical homebuilding process begins with a pre-qualification
for the loan. This step is initiated by a licensed loan officer.
If you do not have an officer, we are happy to make arrangements
for you to meet with one of our preferred lenders. Your lender
will then give you a monetary range from which you are qualified
to borrow.
From
here we will discuss the options that are available to you
in regard to your aspirations and fiscal means.
You may choose
a home from one of our existing plans, modify an existing
plan, bring in your own plan, or start from scratch.
We will also consider
the building lot at this time. Some customers already have
a building lot in mind; however, we are constantly
scouring the
Valley for available lots and are able to help you locate
a destination if you so choose.
Once
a plan has been finalized and a building lot has been purchased,
we create
a contract that details the specifications
and allowances
for your home. From here we begin the building process.
During the building process you are able to select the overall
fit and finish of the home. Decisions for items like flooring,
light fixtures, and paint colors are made during this time.
Our goal is to have your home completed in approximately 3
to 4 months from the onset of the building process. It will
then be ready for you and yours to begin building lasting
memories. You will further understand why we build homes that
stand the test of time.
What
are the price ranges of your homes?
Because we are a custom homebuilder, we have built homes within
a wide range of prices. We can build a home to fit nearly
any budget.
What type of homes do you build?
We build everything from the innovative starter home to
the large estate home. The common threads woven through
all of the homes
that we build are: quality of the work and innovation in
design.
Do we have to have a lot to build on?
No. We build in many different areas around the Valley
and are happy to you find the perfect lot for your perfect
home.
Do you have a catalog of plans you build?
No, we do not have a catalog of homes like most builders.
We custom design each one of our homes. Even if you like
one of
our previous designs, we will strive to fit it to your
lifestyle. We can even change the outside appearance
of the home to
set it apart, — this gives each home individual character it
deserves. Our stance on customization does not cost you anything
extra, — it is essential to achieve our mission of building
quality homes.
Can you build from our plan?
Definitely. If you have a plan that you have already had
drawn up or purchased we can certainly build it for you.
We will also
offer insights and suggestions to be sure that you get
the best home possible.
Do we have to bring you plans or ideas to get started?
Not necessarily. However, we recommend that you start
by looking around at existing homes and begin to collect
idea.
We have
unlimited design options and resources. We can take
the ideas you have
and make any suggestions that may improve the design
or offer added value. We are confident that we can
design a home that
reflects the lifestyle of its owners and this costs
you nothing extra. It comes from our experience and attention
detail…two
things that are inherent to our business. We realize that this
is most likely your biggest purchase and represents sacrifice
and investment; you deserve to get the design that fits the
way you live.
Does it cost extra to have you design our Home?
No, custom designing homes to fit your lifestyle and dreams
is what we do.
What
sets Timepiece Homes apart from others?
First, is the attention to detail and design we put into a
Timepiece Home.
Second,
is the open-style we use throughout a Timepiece Home. Use
of large windows, vaulted ceilings,
half walls where
appropriate and arches all help in creating
this feeling of openness.
Third, is the exterior curb appeal of our homes.
From steep rooflines to the use of accenting
brick, a Timepiece
Home
has a look that
is attractive and unique.
Fourth,
is the overall quality of our homes. We utilize only the
finest materials and craftsman
to design
and assemble a home that will stand the test
of time.
How
long does it take to build?
The length of the building process is contingent
upon several factors. First and foremost is
the size of
the home. Weather
and time of year also can effect the completion
time. As a general rule you can move into your
home about
3-4 months
after breaking
ground.
Can we do sweat equity?
As a general rule we discourage sweat equity. We are very
particular about the workmanship that goes into a Timepiece
Home. Not to slight work done by homeowners, but we would
want to ensure that the work is done to our high standards.
With this being said, we will consider sweat equity on an
individual case basis. Please contact the office for further
details.
